Do electricians need a license in Georgia?
Yes. Electrical contractors in Georgia are licensed by the State Construction Industry Licensing Board. A Class I license is restricted to single-phase work up to 200 amps at the service; a Class II license is unrestricted. Always ask to see a license before anyone works on your home, and make sure they pull a permit.
